Lahore: Inspector General of Police Punjab Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera has said that modern techniques are the only way to fight criminals and uproot crimes from the society,he was addressing a certificate distribution ceremony among 23 DSPs who completed their junior command course from Sihala here at CPO ,Lahore.Eight women officer were also among the DSPs who completed the course.The ceremony for junior command officer traditionally held at Commandant College but first time the ceremony organized at CPO due to IGP’s extra ordinary busy schedule.Additional IG R & D Rai Altaf,Additional IG PHP Javaid Islam,Commandant Police College Sihala DIG Amir Zulfiqar Khan,DIG Investigation Tariq Masud Yasin,DIG HQ Farooq Mazhar Khan,DIG Training Saad Akhtar Bharwana and other officers attended the ceremony.
While speaking to the participants ,IGP Mushtaq Sukhera asked the officers to serve the masses for providing them sense of protection and win the hearts by exemplary behaviour as one officer’s bad attitude earn bad name for the whole department.He said that department ‘simage could be improved by discipline and training.He said field posting will be given to those officer who would complete junior command officer course,he also indicated that the course limit would also be enhanced to 4 months instead of three months.
On the occasion,DIG Amir Zulfiqar briefed the IG that during the three months training course ,officers were taught crime fight,terrorism,conflict handling,anti riots handling and communication media handling.The officers also had the opportunity to enlightened themselves with the vision of IG KPK and IG AJK who delivered training lectures.
DIG Amir Zulfiqar also presented a shield to IG Punjab in the end of the ceremony.
