Lahore: Provincial Minister for Labour and Manpower, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar has said that process of appointment of teachers against all vacant posts in educational institutions of district Rawalpindi has been started. He said that such competent candidates would be selected on the basis of transparency and merit who could equip the builders of the nation with education on modern lines.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting to review education projects in Rawalpindi. Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Zahid Saeed, DCO Sajid Zafar Dal, Members Assembly Raja Javed Akhlas, Asfand Yar Bhandara, Tahira Aurangzaib, Zaib-un-Nisa Awan, Raja Shaukat Aziz Bhatti, Raja Muhammad Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed Malik, Raja Muhammad Hanif, Tehseen Fawad, Lubina Rehan, Sobia Sitti, leaders of PML-N Sardar Naseem, Hafiz Usman, Umar Farooq, Ch. Ayaz, Sardar Mumtaz, Rahat Masood Qadoosi and Director Colleges Hamayun Iqbal were also present on the occasion.
EDO Education, Qazi Zahoor-ul-Haq apprised about the details of progress of educational projects, new recruitments and promotions according to the policy. Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said that process of appointment of teachers in various scales is continuing transparently through NTS and according to the policy of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, candidates will be selected on merit so that aims of educational development could be achieved in real sense.
The meeting was informed about allocation policy, merger of schools and posting of teachers against vacant posts. Raja Ashfaq Sarwar directed educational authorities to evolve a project with the consultation of elected representatives for utilizing the buildings as technical training centers after their merger with educational institutions so that jobless youth could be made self-reliant. It was informed that women can also submit applications for all the posts on open merit.
