“Literary History of the Muslims of Indo-Pak sub-continent” published

Lahore: Punjab University has recently completed a mega research project titled “Literary History of the Muslims of Indo-Pak sub-continent” which was started five years ago under the editorship of well known literary critic and emeritus professor Dr Khawaja Muhammad Zakriya.

This detailed literary history traces the development of Urdu literature from the earliest times to the end of 20^th century and consists of six volumes containing 2,500 pages of A4 size. Punjab University is the only university of the Indo-Pak sub-continent to have completed such an authentic and voluminous research work. This beautifully printed book is being sold at a very reasonable price keeping in view the purchase power of students and general readers. PU Vice Chancellor Dr Mujahid Kamran has eulogized the Department of Literary History for completing such a gigantic project successfully maintaining high standard of research.
