Lahore: Former Prime Minister Azad Jammu & Kashmir Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan has said that a comprehensive three-party dialogue system, consisting of representatives of Kashmir, Pakistan and India, must be defined to resolve Kashmir issue. He said that there was need to pursue our case in a serious manner.
He was addressing a seminar organized by Punjab University Academic Staff Association on “Kashmir Issue: The Right to Self Determination and United Nations.
” PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran presided over the seminar while ASA seminar committee president Prof Dr Shahid Munir, Dr Abid Hussain Chaudhry, Dr Mahboob Hussain, Shabbir Sarwar, senior faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion.
Addressing the ceremony, Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan said that if Pakistan and India could come into being through dialogue, then why not the Kashmir issue be resolved through negotiations? He said that over eight hundred thousand Indian troops were oppressing innocent Kashmiris but the blood of over 6 hundred Muslims would not go in vain. He urged the students to do research on Kashmir issue and publish research papers so that people could know facts about Kashmir issue.
He said that there was no any accession document and Indian propaganda was full of lie. He said that it was India who knocked the door of United Nations and promised to give right to self-determination to Kashmiris but had not fulfilled his promise so far. He appreciated Pakistani people and Pakistan Army for helping Kashmiris for coping with hard times. He also thanked Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif for presenting strong stance on Kashmir issue in the United Nations.
Addressing the ceremony, Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran said that Narendra Modi was the killer of Muslims and there was no need to talk to him in a soft tune. He called upon the rulers to invest in education and research and declare military training compulsory for every citizen. He said that Pakistan had wasted a lot of time on Kashmir issue while this was a matter of life and death for Pakistan. He said that Kashmir issue would only be resolved when Pakistan will become militarily and academically stronger than India.
On the recommendation of Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan, Dr Mujahid Kamran announced that PU would organize series of lectures on Kashmir issue and would bear all the expenses. Dr Shahid Munir, Dr Abid Hussain Chaudhry, Dr Mahboob Hussaind and Shabbir Sarwar also addressed the participants.
