Lahore: Provincial Minister for Minorities Affairs and Human Rights Khalil Tahir Sindhu has said that people of all schools of thought will have to play their role for bringing a positive change through dialogue in social attitudes for the promotion of religious harmony.
He expressed these views while addressing a seminar at a local hotel here today which was arranged by Reat network and PEAD Foundation. Executive Director PEAD Foundation Samina Imtiaz Durani, Munawar Ramal Shah, IA Rehman and Maulana Tahir Ashrafi also spoke on the occasion.
The Minister said that all the religions teach the lesson of human respect, harmony and brotherhood. He said that minorities community has rendered important services in the creation of Pakistan, its stability and national development. He said that the elements which are destroying social peace will have to be dealt with sternly. He said that besides government, Ulema, media and people belonging to all schools of thought can promote love and brotherhood through dialogue and check the negative trends.
Khalil Tahir Sindhu said that Minorities Affairs and Human Rights Department is constituting committees in all districts which will help resolve the problems of minorities at local level.
