Progress of the nation is linked with the quality of educational research: Rana Mashud

Minister Education Rana Mashud AhmadProvincial Minister for Education Rana Mashud Ahmed KhanLahore: Provincial Minister for Education Rana Mashud Ahmed Khan has said that the progress of the nation is directly linked with the quality of educational research. He said that the goal of prosperity cannot be achieved without catalyzing the desire of gaining new knowledge in our educational institutions.

He expressed these views while addressing the inaugural session of a 2-day international conference on Management Research at local private university here today. Chairman Superior Group Ch. Abdul Rehman was the host of this international conference on Emerging Markets’ Role in the Global Economy. Deputy Head of Mission of Italy in Pakistan Tommaso Sansone, French Corporate Attache Olivier Huynh Van, Dean French IESEG School of Management Stephen Murdoch, Regional Director Pakistan China Social Quality and Trade Forum Dr. Calling, Pro-rector Superior University Dr. Sikandar Khan, Iranian Consul General Muhammad Hassan Bani Asadi, delegates from various government and private sector universities of Pakistan and Chief Executives of big business houses attended the inaugural session.

Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan stressed the need for promoting corporate governance for strengthening national economy. He said that the research work on the projects having practical importance in every sector of higher education should be furthered. He said that education sector under the leadership of Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif achieved number of important targets in Punjab during last year. The Minister said that the government did not depend on bureaucracy for formulating roadmap for the improvement of higher education but a special team of educationists comprising vice chancellors of public and private universities have prepared it. He expressed the hope that educationists of international repute and business tycoon communities will play their due role for including Pakistan into the trade alliance of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS).
