Lahore: A delegation of Jamat-e-Islami Pakistan led by General Secretary Liaqat Baloch met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif here today. Political situation and other important matters were discussed during the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said that the country is passing through a critical phase and Pak-Army is fighting war of survival of the country. He said that it is time of unity and not the politics of protest or chaos.
The Chief Minister said that in the present scenario, a heavy responsibility lies on the leaders of political parties. He said that there is a need to demonstrate maturity by setting aside personal interests and prestige for the sake of the country and the nation. He said that the secret of prosperity and development lies in the stability of political and democratic situation. Ameer Jamat-e-Islami Lahore Mian Maqsood Ahmed and Director Foreign Affairs Abdul Ghaffar Aziz were also present on the occasion.
