Lahore: In compliance of orders of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, more than 100 employees working on contract basis in Lahore General Hospital have been regularized. These employees are included the staff recruited by Board of Management.
This was informed by Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute & Lahore General Hospital Prof. Anjum Habib Vohra today here during a meeting with office bearers of Paramedical Association, LGH. The Paramedical Association delegation was comprised of Rahmat Sandhu, Rana Parvez, Khalid Gondal, Amin Salamat, Malik Hanif, Amanat Saghir, Fazal Sandhu and Qazi Faiz Ullah. Prpf. Anjum Habib Vohra told that the Health department has issued notification regarding increase of beds strength from 700 to 1000 at LGH. The hospital administration has sought approval for new recruitments in view to cater needs for this extension and SNE has been sent to the Health Department. He stressed upon the staff to work hard for the campaign against polio just as they launched a vigorous drive against dengue in past so as to save our future generations.
The office bearers of Paramedics Association expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Punjab, Health Adviser Punjab Khawaja Salman Rafique, Secretary Health and LGH administration for the regularization of the staff and ensured they would continue to utilize their best possible abilities to serve the ailing humanity. They further said that the Government has freed more than 100 families from insecurity of employment and now it is their obligation to fulfill their duty with a profound sense of responsibility.
