Khawaja Salman chairs a meeting to review service structure of Health Department staff

Lahore: Advisor on Health Khawaja Salman Rafique presided over a high level meeting at Civil Secretariat, today to consider the steps regarding service structure, service rules and the rapid promotion of the doctors of general, management and specialist cadres.

Secretary Health Jawad Rafique Malik, Special Secretary Health Salman Mufti, Additional Secretary(Admn) Khawar Kamal, Additional Secretary(Estt.) Rana Muhammad Arshad, Additional Secretary (Tech) Dr. Salman Shahid, Director General Health Dr. Zahid Pervaiz, Deputy Secretary(General) Adnan Zafar, Deputy Secretary (Estt.I) Ahmad Kamal Maan, Deputy Secretary(Estt.II) Muhammad Shahbaz Khan and Senior Consultant Naseer Ahmad Chaudhary were present in the meeting. Adnan Zafar gave a briefing regarding service rules and promotion of doctors of general, management and specialist cadres. Kh. Salman Rafiq directed Deputy Secretary (General) Adnan Zafar and Senior Consultant Naseer Ahmad Chaudhary to give final shape to the promotion matters of doctors in consultation with Finance Department within three weeks.

It was decided in the meeting that the report of such doctors awaiting promotion as have no drawing and disbursing powers will not be sought from Anti-Corruption Department so that their promotion matters should not be delayed unnecessarily. Kh. Salman Rafiq directed Deputy Secretary (Gen) Adnan Zafar and Senior Consultant Ch. Naseer to prepare working papers and other documents of doctors of general and specialists cadres falling in promotion zone and take up all matters relating to promotion of doctors at priority basis and he will soon convene a meeting in this regard.
