Overseas Pakistanis send their claims through Embassies: Dr Ahmad Javaid Qazi

Lahore: Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority, Dr. Ahmad Javaid Qazi has said that pay orders of 3.33 billion rupees have so far been distributed among 89349 flood affectees while 1.72 billion rupees were given to 32786 flood affectees on the other day.

He said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab, gift of quilts is being given to poor flood affectees for protection against cold. He said that in this regard, 25000 high quality quilts have been handed over to the administration which will be distributed among the flood affectees through a committee constituted for this purpose.

He said that overseas Pakistanis whose crops have been destroyed should send their particulars through their embassies so that they could be provided financial assistance after necessary verification. He said that uninterrupted power supply has been arranged by the administration at all payment centers where financial assistance is being provided to the affectees without any hurdle.
