PU delegation visits Iqbal mausoleum for offering Fateha

Lahore: A delegation of Punjab University under the leadership of Acting Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Ehsan Malik visited mausoleum of Allama Iqbal and laid floral wreath and offered Fateha for the departed soul.

In visitor’s book, paying tribute to Allama Iqbal, Prof Dr Ehsan Malik wrote in Urdu language that contradictions between beliefs and actions became cause of destruction of nations. He wrote that May we serve mankind in the light of Khudi and Eman and this was the message of Allama Iqbal in his poetry. Later, Prof Dr Ehsan Malik presided over a sitting in the committee room of VC office, New Campus in which PU Registrar Prof Dr Liaqat Ali, Iqbal Chair’s Prof Dr Syed Akram Shah and senior faculty members participated. The participants threw light on various aspects of life, teachings and poetry of Allama Iqbal and paid tribute to his personality.
