Lahore: The Federal Government has been appointed Former Inspector General Dr. Wasim Kausar as Senior Advisor to Federal Ombudsman.
He gained his Ph.D from the University of Exeter, United Kingdom, on the basis of his Research Thesis entitled “Drug Addiction Syndrome in University Students” in the year 2000. Prior to this he did his Masters in Police Studies from the University of Exeter and Masters in English Literature from Government College, Lahore. The subject of Drug Addiction and Prevention and Scenario of Drug Abuse in Pakistan forms the special interests of Dr. Wasim.
Dr Waseem kauser has previously held some important slots in Punjab Police as well as NH&MP, and is said to have an excellent track record of professional services. Earlier Dr. Wasim Kausar had been posted as Director, Central Planning & Training Unit (CPTU) National Police Academy, Islamabad, IG Railways Police and DG National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA). Dr. Wasim Kausar awarded Pride of Performance Award by the Prime Minister of Pakistan in recognition of Public Friendly policing .
