Dr Mujahid Kamran visits Germany’s Bielefeld University

Lahore: Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has visited Germany’s Bielefeld University on the invitation of its rector to strengthen collaborative relations with German system of higher education.

The PU delegation consisted of PU VC, Dean Faculty of Law Prof Dr Shazia Noreen Qureshi, Dean Faculty of Behavioral and Social Sciences Prof Dr Zakria Zakar and Country Coordinator of Collaborative Research Dr Rubeena Zakar.

The PU delegation held series of meetings with senior academic and administrative staff of the Bielefeld University to explore avenues of academic and research collaborations. It may be mentioned that University of the Punjab has been conducting comparative multi-country research on “violence and development” in collaboration with Bielefeld University.

The findings of the research will help the international community to understand the causes and consequences of violence in comparative and cross cultural context. The findings of the research will be published in leading and high impact factor international journals.
