Lahore Police claim to arrest 205 accused of 69 gangs in October 2014

Lahore police showed excellent results during the month of October 2014, by arresting 205 accused of 69 gangs here in, Lahore and 299 cases have also been traced against them while more than 9.2 millions recovered from the gang’s members, 1281 POs & CAs also arrested in the same period.

According to details, DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf directed Police officers, to utilize their full energies to curb the crime in the city and to arrest the criminals involved in different unlawful activities. On his directions, all divisional SPs increased their efforts against criminals and showed excellent results during the month of October 2014 by arresting 205 criminals of 69 gangs who were involved in different heinous crimes, 523 POs, 758 CAs included A&B categories were also arrested.

During the October, 460 cases registered against 464 accused on having illicit weapon and police also recovered 4-Kalashankove 19-rifles, 13-guns, 406-revolvers & pistol’s, 2-carbine, 04 daggers and 2153 bullets from their possession. During the action against drug dealers, 615 cases were registered and 628 culprits were arrested and 28kg008grm heroine, 169kg837grm Chars, 465grm opium and 8907 bottles of liquor recovered from them.

Moreover, 87 cases were registered against gamblers and 612 accused arrested and also recovered betting amount more than 6-lacs. In the same period during the special crackdown 394 cases were registered against 446 culprits on the violation of law.
