Punjab Government to earn billions in Apna Rozgar Scheme

Lahore: Though the Punjab Government is making claim that it is going to provide interest free vehicles to the unemployed youth but infact it would be a highly profitable project for the provincial government.

The government has claimed that it would provide 50 thousands vehicle on 40 thousands Rs below the market price without any markup as the government would pay the interest to the bank.It is a very attractive scheme for the unemployed youth of the province on papers or for those who remain lucky enough to get vehicles but it would not be as attractive for the unsuccessful candidates because of the 2 thousands fee that is being charged by the bank.

Punjab Government who had made a deal of subsidized rate with “SUZUKI” company by giving it a huge order of manufacturing of 50 thousands vehicles ,is giving 40 thousands relief that is merely a peanut for the poor and unemployed youth but picking their pockets by charging non-refundable fee of two thousands with initial payment of 11 thousands for “Ravi” and 12 thousands for “Bolan” would generate a huge amount through mark up.If only one million youth applied for the vehicles the bank would collect non refundable 2 billions Rs and more than 11.5 billions for down payment.

The maximum down payment amount would be remain in government account for months that would add the government income through markup.Rising number of the applications would increase and multiply the income of the government through the welfare project being started to help the unemployed youth of the province.

The vehicles would be delivered only to the candidates who would meet the bank’s conditions.
