Overseas Pakistanis are great ambassador of the country: Shahbaz Sharif

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that overseas Pakistanis are great ambassador of the country. He said that overseas Pakistanis including engineers, doctors, bankers and investors residing in various countries are playing their due role in the development of those countries as well as strengthening economy of Pakistan on sound footings. He said that Pakistan Muslim League-N government highly values the commendable role of overseas Pakistanis in the development of the country. The Chief Minister said that resolution of problems of overseas Pakistanis is the responsibility of the state and Punjab government has made legislation for setting up a fully empowered Commission in the province for this purpose. He said that this Commission will work on modern lines for immediate resolution of problems and complaints of overseas Pakistanis.

He expressed these views while addressing a reception arranged by Pakistani community in London, today.A large number of Pakistanis attended the reception.

Shahbaz Sharif said that Pakistan is facing numerous problems and challenges. He said that energy crisis and extremism have caused irreparable loss to the country. He said that sit-ins and politics of protest have caused massive loss to the country and the nation. The Chief Minister said that untimely sit-ins have created hurdles in the development of the country, however, PML-N government under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is determined to steer the country out of crisis and put it on the road to progress and prosperity. He said that every effort of the government is aimed at the development of the country and welfare of the nation.

Shahbaz Sharif said that by the grace of Almighty Allah, cooperation of the people and through round the clock hard work, the challenges being faced by the country will be coped with effectively. He expressed the hope that we will certainly succeed in ridding the country of problems like terrorism and load-shedding. The Chief Minister said that the losses caused due to sit-ins and protest politics will be made up through devotion and hard work. He said that a conducive atmosphere has been created for investment in Pakistan and all facilities are being provided to the investors under one roof.

He asked overseas Pakistanis to invest in Pakistan generously and all facilities will be provided to them and complete protection will be ensured to their investment. He said that resolution of problems of overseas Pakistanis is one of the top priorities of PML-N government and a Commission is being set up at provincial level for this purpose so that these great ambassadors of Pakistan will not have to face difficulties in the offices for resolution of their problems.

Shahbaz Sharif said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is making sincere efforts for strengthening economy of the country on sound footings and solid economic policies of the government are yielding positive results. He said that the time is not far off when darkness will be removed from the country, Pakistan will become a great economic power and its image will be restored once again.
