Lahore: Parliamentary Secretary Information and Culture, Rana Muhammad Arshad has said that creation of awareness among our young generation about great personalities is need of the hour. He said that no effort will be spared for providing information to our youth regarding founders of Pakistan. He said Punjab government has issued calendar for observing Iqbal Day in a befitting manner and seminars, workshops, discussions, speech contests and dramas would be held in this regard. He said that Allama Iqbal Day will be celebrated throughout the world including Pakistan. He said that all writings regarding the personality of Allama Iqbal from 1958 have been compiled in the form of a book and its launching ceremony will soon be held.
He expressed these views while addressing a press conference held regarding programmes in connection with Iqbal Day on November 9 in collaboration with Bazam-e-Iqbal today. Rana Muhammad Arshad said that all arrangements and programmes have been finalized to celebrate Allama Iqbal Day throughout the province. He said that speech competitions and dramatization of poems of Allama Iqbal will be held in all schools and colleges. He said that all art councils of the province have been directed to play their active role in the functions on Allama Iqbal Day.
