Liaqat Baloch led JI delegation called on the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif

CM PUNJABshahbaz sharLahore: A high level Jamaat e islami delegation headed by party Secretary general, Liaqat Baloch, on Saturday called on the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and apprised him of the details of the JI Ijtema being held at the Minar e Pakistan, on November 21 to 23.

The Chief Minister appointed the Commissioner, Lahore, as Focal Person on behalf of the government for the occasion. The Commissioner would remain in touch with the Ijtema organizers in administrative matters. The Chief Minister also assured the delegation of full cooperation in security issues and traffic plan.The delegation drew the attention of the Chief Minister towards the increasing street crimes and the worsening law and order situation.

The Chief Minister assured the delegation that the government would utilize all its  resources to control crimes. The delegation also included JI Lahore chief Mian Maqsood Ahmed and JI Information Secretary Ameerul Azeem.

On the occasion, Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that country is passing through a critical phase. He said that it is high time to show unity instead of politics of protest and chaos. He said that in view of the present situation, heavy responsibility lies on all political parties and their leaders to display maturity and set aside personal interests for the sake of country and the nation as this country is all of us and we have to steer it out of crisis jointly.

Talking to the delegation, Shahbaz Sharif said time has come that we should jointly march forward for the development of the country and prosperity of the people by sacrificing personal and party interests through unity and spirit of sacrifice. He said that we will have to adopt the path of peace for taking the country and the nation forward through collective efforts.

The Chief Minister said that the recent politics of chaos has caused massive loss to the economy, upon which, the entire nation is grieved and expects better attitudes from the politicians. He said that the future of Pakistan is linked with democracy. He believed that the secret of development and prosperity lies in strong democratic system and political stability. Naib Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab, Ameer ul Azeem and Ameer of Lahore Mian Maqsood were also present on the occasion.
