Pro-India government in Bangladesh has sentenced the JI leaders :Sirajul Haq

Sirajul Haqpic sirajul haqLahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Sirajul Haq, has said that the message of Imam Hussain at Karbla was that a Muslim would lay down his life but would not surrender before a tyrant. He was addressing a large Friday congregation at the Mansoora mosque.

Sirajul Haq said that JI Bangladesh leaders Abdul Qadir Mullah and Prof. Ghulam Azam had accepted martyrdom following the golden tradition of the beloved grandson of the Holy Prophet, but had refused to yield to oppressive rulers. He said the pro-India government in Bangladesh had sentenced the JI leaders only because of their love for Pakistan but unfortunately, the blind, deaf and dumb rulers in Islamabad could not appreciate these sacrifices. He however said that the death of Prof. Ghulam Azam in Dhaka jail would prove the political death of the Huseena Wajid government.

Sirajul Haq said the BD government had put thousands of JI workers and leaders behind bars to please their Indian masters. He said, Prof. Ghulam Azam’s family had been forced to offer the funeral prayer of the deceased at home instead of a public place so that others could not join.

The JI chief impressed upon the government to declare Prof. Ghulam Azam and Abdul Qadir Mullah as martyrs of Pakistan. He said that by remaining indifferent to the people laying down their lives for the sake of Pakistan, the government was only pleasing enemies of Islam and Pakistan. He said he had hoped that the government would issue a condolence on the demise of Prof. Ghulam Azam and an official delegation would join the funeral prayer but it seemed the government had not awakened from sleep.

Sirajul Haq said that Pakistan was not a mere geographical entity, it was a philosophy and it came into being for enforcement of the Islamic system. However, he said, the rulers had drifted the country away from its goal. He said the JI would revive the Pakistan movement at its grand Ijtema being held at the Minar e Pakistan grounds next month and renews the struggle for the realization of the goals before the founding fathers.

Later, the JI chief led a Ghaibana Namaz e Janaza of Prof. Ghulam Azam at the Masjid e Shuhada. Thousands of people joined the prayer.
