Majority of Divisional SPs refused to hold open court in Masajids

Lahore: Despite the direction of DIG Operations,  the divisional SP’s did not arrange open courts in mosques located in their jurisdictions. Only SP Cantt Muhammad Nadeem arranged an open court in jamia mosque Azizia Hadiara and SP Sadar Ijaz Shafi Dogar arranged an open court in the jamia mosque Ghousia main market green town.

All other SPs sent their SDPOs to hold open courts.

DSP Defence circle Asim Iftikhar arranged an open court in jamia mosque Taqwa, DSP North Cantt  circle Khalid Mehmood arranged an open court in jamia mosque Talaab Wali, DSP Sabzazar circle Imran Karamat arranged an open court in jamia mosque Madni Ya Rasool Allah, DSP Raiwind circle Shehzad Rafique arranged an open court in jamia mosque Ehal-e-Sunnat, DSP Township circle Atif Hayat arranged an open court in jamia mosque Khair-ud-din, DSP Race Course circle Safdar Kazmi arranged an open court in jamia mosque Shuhda mall road, DSP Old Anarkali circle Mehmood-ul-Hassan arranged an open court in jamia mosque Anwar-e-Madina, DSP Islampura circle Shamas-ul-Haq arranged an open court jamia mosque Makki Madni, DSP Lower Mall circle Naveed Irshad arranged an open court in jamia mosque Toheed, DSP Model Town circle Shehzad Manzoor arranged an open court in jamia mosque Ya Rasool Allah, DSP Garden Town circle Meer Kashif Khalil arranged an open court in jamia mosque Ghousia marya stop, DSP Kahna circle Iqbal Hussain Shah arranged an open court in jamia mosque Toor, DSP Muslim Town Circle Imran Abbas arranged an open court in jamia mosque Noor, DSP Samanabad circle Shahid Ahmad Khan arranged an open court Sher-e-Rabbani  and DSP Nawa Kot circle Farhat Abbas arranged an open court in jamia mosque Faizan-e-Madina.

These open courts were arranged on the directions of DIG operations Dr Haider Ashraf. SP Cantt Muhammad Nadeem and SP Sadar Ijaz Shafi Dogar are issued the directions on the spot after hearing the complaints of applicants in open court. DSP Defence, North Cantt, Sabzazar, Raiwind, Township, Race Course, Old Anarkali, Islampura, Lower mall, Model Town, Garden town, Kahna, Muslim Town, Samanabad and DSP Nawan Kot (Circle) heard applicants in open courts and issued the directions on the spot. The people can participate in open courts and give their applications to senior police officers directly who were not entertained in the Police stations.

Lahore police has entertained more than twenty six hundred applicants in open courts. DIG operations Dr Haider Ashraf are monitoring all these open courts. All the SPs are directed to send comprehensive report after helping peoples in open courts. He said that this is our first priority to help peoples in open courts. He also directed to all police officers to deal people with polite attitude, otherwise strict action shall be taken.
