FORENSIC EXPERTS ATTEND CULTURAL EVENING AT GCU

Lahore: A cultural evening was held in the honor of foreign forensic experts participating in the first international conference on “Forensic Science and Justice” being held at the Government College University, Lahore under the auspices the university’s Chemistry Department, Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA) and Higher Education Commission. Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman and PFSA Director General Dr Muhammad Ashraf Tahir also attended the cultural evening blended with the music and drama performances by the members of the university’s Dramatics Club and Nazir Ahmed Music Society.

Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Prof Rahman said such cultural evenings at the sidelines of conferences provided opportunity to their students and faculty members to informally interact and exchange ideas with the top foreign and national scientists, and such interactions led to fruitful long term collaborations which were beneficial for the development of science in Pakistan. He said that such events also played a role in apprising the foreigners about the culture and traditions of Pakistan.
