Lahore: CCPO Lahore Captain Muhammad Ameen has taken notice of the death of an accused in Muslim Town Police custody and directed DIG ops Dr Haider Ashraf to submit a report after inquiry within 24 hours.
According to the detail,Zafar Iqbal had lodged a case of fake cheque against the resident of Gulshan Ravi Rana Muhammad Ashraf who was absconder in said case.
Today police raided at his residence and arrested him.As the police team reached at police station,the accused complaint pain in his heart but cops turned the deaf ears to his hue and cry but later on his deteriorating condition they took him to nearby Sheikh Zaid hospital where he was received as dead.The body of the deceased sent to Jinnah Hospital morgue for autopsy .
