Lahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Sirajul Haq, has appreciated the decision of the parliamentary leaders to delay the acceptance of the PTI MNAs.
In a statement here on Thursday, he said that the recent political movements had proved that the constitution and the democracy were getting strong in the country. HHe said that both the government and the opposition had set an example of democratic attitude which should continue in the future.
The JI chief also lauded the end of Dr Tahirul Qadri’s sit in- and also his mass contact campaign. He said the PAT chief had proved that flexibility was the essence of politics and it made its way for peaceful struggle instead of a conflict in every situation. He said that Dr Qadri’s return to the country’s election system would help strengthen the democracy in the country.
Sirajul Haq however said that the flexibility of the parties staging Dharnas should not lead the government to the conclusion that the protest had ended. In fact, he said, it was time that all political forces moved towards dialogue for the solution of the political crisis. A common line of action should be prepared for the solution of the problems of the general public, and justice and equality should be ensured.
He said as long as the basic rights of the masses were not guaranteed , unrest and lawlessness would continue. He warned that if the government failed to solve these problems, a series of crises would emerge in the days ahead.
