ERC should take parties outside the Parliament into confidences: Ch Shujat Hussain

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Senator Ch Shujat Hussain has said that the Electoral Reforms Committee, which has been constituted for electoral reforms in the country, should also take into confidence such political parties which were not represented in the House.

He put forth this suggestion during the session of the Senate. He said that this would help the committee in ascertaining views of more and more political parties.

Talking about PEMRA, Ch Shujat Hussain said that in compliance with the order of the Supreme Court permanent Chairman of the PEMRA should be appointed. On this, Deputy Chairman of the Senate Sabir Ali Baloch said that the order of the Supreme Court should be implemented.
