Lahore: In order to start the new era in Punjab Police, first time 100 Civilian Senior Station Assistant will be recruited who will be responsible to Computerize the Police Station’s record besides to help the public for spontaneous redressal of their complaints and ensure the timely registration of public complaints.
This was decided by Inspector General of Police, Punjab Mushtaq Ahmed Sukhera while presiding over a high level meeting held at Central Police Office Punjab, Lahore. All senior officers attended the meeting.
It was decided in a meeting that initially this pilot project will be started from 10 Police Stations of Lahore. Later, this project will be expanded into other district police stations subjected to the success of this Pilot Project. Under this project 20 (male) Senior Station Assistant, 60 (male) and 20 (female) Police Station Assistant will be appointed. All these appointments will be made on contract basis.
It was also decided in the meeting that the required finances for the project will be managed within the existing Budget of the Police Department. The procedure of these appointments will properly be advertised in national newspapers. This Pilot Project is expected to be operative in January, 2015.
