Raja Ashfaq Sarwar chairs a meeting to review anti dengue campaign in Rawalpindi

Minister Labour Raja Ashfaq Sarwar Lahore: Provincial Minister for Labour and Human Resource Raja Ashfaq Sarwar has said that besides destroying indoor and outdoor larvae, steps should also be taken for ensuring 24 hours case response to dengue patients in Rawalpindi hospitals so that dengue virus could be controlled.

He said that on the direction of Chief Minister Punjab, all government departments have been made alert to keep a vigilant eye on larvae during October and November. He said that coordinated efforts should be made and those areas should be focused where confirmed dengue cases have been reported.

He said this while presiding over a meeting regarding controlling dengue in Rawalpindi today. Commissioner Rawalpindi, DCO, MNAs and MPAs also attended the meeting and suggested measures regarding recovery of larvae in their respective areas. Officers and representatives of concerned departments informed about their performance.

Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said that Rawalpindi administration and government departments are making strenuous efforts for controlling dengue and due to their effective steps, number of dengue patients is decreasing in Rawalpindi. He asked all concerned departments to further improve their performance for controlling dengue.
