By controlling corruption, we can dispense with foreign loans : Sirajul Haq

pic amir jipLahore: Ameer, Jamaat e isami, Pakistan, Sirajul Haq, has said that if corruption was controlled, the country would not need foreign loans. He was addressing civic reception at Kshmor, kandhkot and Guddo barrage, during his Sindh tour in connection with the  JI ijtema to be held at Minar e Pakistan on November 21 to 23.

Sirajul Haq said that for the ruling elite, politics was a lucrative business. The corrupt ruling elite in the country had plundered trillions of public money. He said the elite spent summer holidays in France and London. They talked of the rights of the poor at public platforms but they were least concerned about the problems of the poor. These politicians did not even look at the poor after winning the elections so the poor were there only to vote and to pay taxes. Even the pet dogs of the ruling rulers enjoyed costly dishes while the masses were being forced to commit suicide.

Sirajul Haq told the gatherings that the JI had begun a struggle to uproot the prevailing oppressive system and it won’t rest until and unless it was able to bring the poor Haris and workers at par with the vaderas and feudal lords.

The JI chief said that the salvation and the survival of the country lay in the democratic struggle.  He further said that electoral reforms were essential before the mid-term elections otherwise this would be a futile exercise. He therefore stressed upon the government to take serious steps for the reconstruction of the Election Commission and undertake electoral reforms and the rule of the law should be ensured. Had the rulers solved the people’s problems, the country would not been facing the prevailing political crisis, he added.

Referring to India’s border violations, the JI chief said the government should have given a befitting reply to the enemy aggression at the start. He deplored that India was openly involved in aggression against Pakistan while the government remained a silent spectator.

A well known Sindhi social and political figure Altaf Husain Boraro, announced joining the JI on the occasion.
