Lahore: Punjab Minister for Finance, Excise & Taxation and Law Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman has given the cheque for Rs.3.5 crore to the President of Lahore High Court Bar Association on behalf of Punjab Chief Minister, out of which Rs.2 crore as grant, Rs.1 crore as Benevolent Fund and a grant of Rs.50 lakh for library.
Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman said that Punjab government is taking steps for promotion of Law Department and bar associations and welfare of lawyers community and all out cooperation will be extended to lawyers community and bar associations in future as well.
The Minister gave a cheque to President Lahore High Court Bar Shafqat Chauhan Advocate. Former Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, Secretary Law Abul Hassan Najmi, Advocate General Punjab Ch. Muhammad Hanif Khatana, Deputy Attorney General Naseer Bhutta and other office-bearers of Bar Association were also present on the occasion.
