Lahore: Independent candidate Amir Dogar backed by PTI in the by-elections of NA-149 has defeated the veteran politician Javaid Hashmi in polls by clear margin. Javaid Hashmi who’s election campaign was run by PML-N  after initial unofficial results ,thanked the PML-N workers and said I accept the decision of the masses and will congratulate whoever wins.

There was a celebrations in the main camp of the winning candidate Amir Dogar whereas people present at Javaid Hashmi camp were chanting ” go Imran go”.Although a few polling stations result was still pending but the around 10 thousands margin was looking ample for celebration of the win and mourn over the defeat in Multan,a senior journalist Junaid Malik commented on the elections results.

According to the latest result,Amir Dogar has taken 58142 and Javaid Hashmi could take 47222 votes.After the final unofficial results ,Imran Khan said he never accepted the defeat while federal minister Khawaja Saad Rafique said PML-N workers were annoyed to “the Baghi” on the way he left PML-N,party was supporting Javaid Hashmi at local level.
