Lahore: The 3rd International Energy, Gas, Oil and Power Exhibition and Conference – EGO Pakistan 2014 opened its doors to huge number of visitors at the Expo Centre, Lahore. The event was inaugurated by Provincial Minister of Mines and Minerals, Chaudhry Sher Ali Khan and Saleem Khan Tanoli, CEO FAKT Exhibitions (Pvt) Limited.
While addressing the media, Sher Ali Khan said, “EGO Pakistan 2014” would prove an essential event not only to provide business opportunities to energy industry but also to provide future direction to the growth of the industry. These days development of energy is considered as an important indicator of the nation’s economic development.” He expressed pleasure to observe the quality of exhibitors participating and showcasing their products and services.”
Ch. Sher Ali Khan observed that we need to take full advantage of alternative energy sources; they are cheap, available and would help us cope with the increasing energy demand. He also congratulated FAKT Exhibitions for organizing an imperative event for the local industry and economy. Saleem Khan Tanoli, CEO FAKT also added, “This is our third edition; EGO Pakistan is now a recognized venue for matchmaking, networking opportunities and business generation for the energy, gas, oil and power industry in Pakistan.
Minister Mines met and acknowledged participants in the exhibition and took keen interest in what the exhibitors had offered. Over 120 companies from over 15 countries incuding China, Egypt, Germany, India, Iran, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, United Kingdom, UAE and USA etc. participated in the event. The event has been strongly supported by Government bodies and trade association as they consider such events play a vital role in the development of local industry.
The event attracted numerous local and international trade visitors on its first day. The event will continue till 17th October 2014 at Expo Centre Lahore.
