Corrupt elite in the country has plundered the national wealth: Siraj ul Haq

Sirajul HaqLahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Sirajul Haq, has said that the corrupt elite in the country had plundered the national wealth during the last 67 years and it was time for an end to the status quo.

“ Now is the time to say “ Go status quo Go” , he said at his press conference held at Mansoora to  inform newsmen about the detailed programme of the JI grand Ijtema being held at the Minar e Pakistan from November 21 to 23.

JI deputy chiefs Hafiz Muhammad Idrees, Asadullah Bhutto, Secretary general Liaqat Baloch and JI Punjab chief Dr Syed Waseem Akhtar, were also present.

There is no future for any other system in this country except the  Islamic system,  and the JI Ijtema would be a source of pulling the masses out of the prevailing despair and despondency, he added. It is really deplorable that the borders of a nuclear Pakistan should not be secure, he added. He said that the JI would build Pakistan a Super Pakistan that won’t be a nuclear state only in name,  but a model for the entire world.

Sirajul Haq impressed upon the people from all walks of life, including the elderly and the youth, to join the JI’s movement for building a strong and prosperous, Islamic Pakistan.

He said that the rulers and their offspring had built palaces abroad with the plundered national wealth besides transferring billions to foreign banks. He said that the JI would revive the Pakistan movement at the Ijtema to get rid of the corrupt elite and for evolving a just system based on the Holy Quran and the Sunnah, thus achieving the real goal envisioned by the Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal.

Sirajul Haq said he was sure about the success of the move because the JI   wanted to free the nation from the clutches of the Brahmans and to divert national resources towards the betterment of the masses. He said that Pakistan at present, was chained because of the IMF and World Bank loans.

The JI chief deplored that India was continuously committing aggression against this country and killing innocent people but the rulers remained unmoved.

He said that Islamic movement leaders and intellectuals from as many as 24 countries would attend the Ijtema.

Asked if the JI would launch this movement after pulling out from the Khyber P government, Sirajul Haq said that although the performance of the three JI ministers in the Khyber P was quite satisfactory, yet it could take such a step for a much greater cause.

Meanwhile, the JI Secretary General, Liaqat Baloch, while addressing  reception in the city, urged the religious and political leadership, the civil society to get together on a national agenda and for national priorities in the present critical hour. He said the country was facing dangers from all sides as the anti Islam and anti Pakistan forces were out to destabilize the country to prove it a irresponsible nation. In such a situation, he said, the political crisis and irresponsible political behavior were advancing the enemy agenda.

The JI Secretary General stressed upon the provincial governments to hold local bodies elections without further delay.
