Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvaiz Elahi has said that the people have selected the path for change, Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif could not block their way no matter how many unconstitutional and illegal tactics they adopted, Insha-Allah our allies parties meeting in Lahore would also write new history like Faisalabad.
He expressed these views while addressing separate meetings of party office-bearers, ticket holders and leaders from 7 districts including Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Okara, Kasur, Narowal and Nankana Sahib at the Muslim League House here today in which party’s reorganization was also under discussion at length. Senator Kamil Ali Agha, Tariq Bashir Cheema, Muhammad Basharat Raja, Ch Zaheeruddin Khan, Vickas Hassan Mokal and Khadeeja Umar Farooqui were also among those present in these meetings.
Ch Parvaiz Elahi said that we would have to give priority to PML organization and this organization would be done on the basis of each constituency of the Provincial Assembly, in this regard a committee headed by Moonis Elahi would tour all districts of the Punjab after which he would be visiting every district and hold meetings. He said that detailed programme would be chalked out for this purpose in next few days, Insha-Allah.
Welcoming the membership campaign the participants of the meetings said that as a result of this the party would become more active and strong and contacts with the people would also be accelerated and improved at personal level.
Assuring full participation in the public meeting in Lahore on Sunday, the PML leaders that the party workers and the people, carrying the green party flags, would participate in the largest numbers and make it historical one. They said that the people had duly been informed about the real faces of the rulers by sky-rocketing bills despite shortage of electricity and gas, dearness and unemployment and this was the reason that “Go Nawaz, Go Shahbaz” slogan had become popular slogan of everyone.
Participants of the meetings also included Sardar Asif Nakai, Dr Azeemuddin Lakhvi, Mian Munir Ahmad, Alamgir advocate, Ch Maqsood Sulehria, Salim Baryaar, Khalil Bhatti, Sarosh Tahir, Ch Zulfiqar Pappan, Sh Umar Hayat, Shahid Manzoor Gill, Khurrum Munawwar Manj, Bilal Mustafa Shirazi, Ansar Saleem Baryaar, Ch Zulfiqar, Amna Ulfat, Syeda Majida Zaidi among leaders.
