DCOs to ensure transparent distribution of the financial assistance to flood affected people :Bao Akhtar Ali

Lahore: Chairman Complaint Redressal Committee on Flood, Bao Akhtar Ali has directed DCOs of 16 districts to ensure immediate and transparent distribution of the financial assistance provided for the rehabilitation of flood affected people and submit report after redressing complaints in this regard.

He stated this while presiding over a special meeting regarding Complaint Redressal Committee on Flood Affectees, here today. Secretary Board of Revenue Afzal Shaheen, Director PDMA Nawaz Khalid, officers PITB, Rescue 1122 and other departments.

Bao Akhtar Ali stressed upon DCOs to submit a comprehensive report after redressing the complaints present on the portal of PITB. He further said that Punjab government has provided substantial funds for the rehabilitation of flood affectees and their transparent distribution is the department and moral responsibility. He directed the officers to pay special attention to the complaints of flood affectees regarding financial assistance and contact the concerned DCO for their redressal.
