Lahore: Governing Body of Lahore Development Authority has decided to extend the area to be acquired for its new housing, LDA City, from 45 thousand kanals to 61 thousand kanals.
Director General LDA Ahad Khan Cheema informed this while presiding a meeting which was held on Saturday to review the up-to-date progress regarding acquisition of land for the scheme and other relevant issues.
The meeting was participated by Additional Director General (Housing) LDA Ammara Khan, Chief Metropolitan Planner Waheed Ahmad Butt and other officers concerned besides representatives of the five development partners of LDA including Pak Estate, Paragon City, Urban Developers, Mamar Housing Services and Alfa Estate.
The Director General LDA directed the participants for gearing up their efforts for acquiring land for the scheme in seven villages of district Lahore namely Kahna, Kacha, Thay Panju, Sidhar, Halloki, Rakh Jhedu and Toor Warriach. He underlined the need for long-term planning for provision of basic necessities of life in the scheme.
It was further informed that in lieu of the land acquired so far, LDA has already started issuance of Exemption Letters to the buyers of plots in the scheme who have purchased files form approved development partners. In order to safeguard the rights of buyers of plots in the scheme, special Security Featured Papers have been got prepared for exemption letters.
