Liaqat Baloch discuss political situation with Ghulam Sarwar Khan and Ijaz ul Haq

Lahore: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, on Friday met with a former Federal Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan and PML (Zia) chief, Ejazul Haq, MNA, in Islamabad and discussed with them the political situation prevailing in e country.

At the meeting, the JI Secretary General said that the people within the country as also the Pakistanis abroad wanted early solution of the political crisis.  He said a big majority of the people wanted the solution within the constitution. He said it would be in the larger national interest if the government, the PTI and the PAT worked out a solution between themselves.

He said the Opposition Jirga had given its recommendations to the three parties and if necessary steps were taken in the light of these recommendations, the masses would be freed from the tension as also the economic hardships caused by the crisis.

Meanwhile, leaders of different political parties at a dinner at the residence of the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, Syed Khurshid Shah,

appreciated the efforts of the Political Jirga led by Ameer, JI, Pakistan,   Sirajul Haq, for reconciliation between the government and the protesting parties. They reaffirmed their resolve to protect the constitution and the democratic system and appealed to the government, the PTI and the PAT to end the political crisis without delay.

The leaders attending the meeting said that the entire nation was grieved over the postponement of the Chinese President’s visit to the country which was a great set back to the national economy.
