Lahore: On the instructions of Air Chief Marshal, Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force PAF is undertaking rescue operations in the flood affected areas of Southern Punjab.
A PAF C-130 Aircraft carrying 20000 Kg of dry ration comprising Atta, Rice, Pulses, Dates, Biscuits and Mineral Water took off from PAF Base Nur Khan and landed at Multan Airport today.
A fleet of 06 PAF Helicopters is also engaged in rescue and relief operations in these areas. These helicopters have rescued hundreds of flood stricken people who were stranded in the low lying areas of Southern Punjab.
PAF rescue squadrons are flying rescue missions in Multan, Ahmadpur Sial and Muzaffargarh areas to evacuate people from the flood hit locations.
