Lahore: Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has made elaborate arrangements to secure its students from dengue disease. In this regard, the instructions of the Punjab Government are being fully implemented so that the partner school students could enjoy neat, clean and healthy atmosphere.
Managing Director Punjab Education Foundation, Dr. Aneela Salman stated this while presiding over a departmental meeting at her office on Wednesday. Deputy MDs, Directors and Program Heads attended the meeting. The meeting reviewed in detail the anti-dengue measures adopted by the partner schools. Addressing the meeting, MD PEF said that students should be fully sensitized about the hazards of dengue and how best they can play their role in its eradication. Co-curricular activities help improve the intellectual ken of the students; therefore the partner schools should also educate their students through such activities, she added.
Dr. Aneela Salman expressed the satisfaction that Punjab Education Foundation has achieved important milestone of arranging free quality education for the needy students who otherwise cannot go to schools due to lack of resources.
On the occasion, the meeting was told that PEF offices are regularly sprayed and different arrangements are made to mitigate dengue virus in office premises.
