MQM is not against Kalabagh dam: Altaf Hussain

Lahore: MQM Quaid Altaf Hussain has demanded immediate construction of small dams in the country to save the people from the devastation of the flood.

In his statement issued from London,Altaf Hussain said MQM was not against  Kalabagh Dam rather it was opposing only because of the people of the interior Sindh who had reservation on Kalabagh Dam.He said MQM was not against to build the larger dams in the country including Kalabagh dam.Big dams take too much time so government should work on construction of small dams,he added.

MQM Quaid said the economy was destroying due to rain water as there was not reservoirs to store this water.He offered MQM’s engineers services free of cost for making small dams.He said the losses were too big in comparison with the resources of the country  as floods were destroying Pakistan’s economy.
