PDMA acquires SUPARCO satellite services for assessment of damages to houses and crops: Ahmed Javed Qazi

 Ahmed Javaid Qazi Lahore: Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority Ahmed Javed Qazi has said that PDMA has acquired services of SUPARCO satellite for assessment of damages to houses and crops due to flood in the province. He said that the flood affectees will be paid financial compensation in the light of SUPARCO survey reports.

He said that 3 lakh 84 thousand acqu pura pills have been provided to flood affectees of all districts of the province. He said that 9500 mosquito nets have been given in the flood affected areas for saving the affectees from mosquitoes. Giving details, Dr. Ahmed Javed Qazi said that 67500 tents, 2 lakh 40 thousand mineral water bottles, 1 lakh 25 thousand food hampers containing flour, pulses, rice, dry milk, tea bags, biscuits, match boxes, salt, chillies etc., 4500 flour bags of 20 kg each and 5000 bags of 20 kg rice each have been distributed among flood affectees so far.

Similarly, district administration of every district is also providing essential items to the flood affectees regularly to the flood-hit areas with the funds provided by the government. He said that 87 thousand flood affected people are staying at 421 relief camps and are being provided food regularly. He said that one crore 46 lakh 27 thousand and 698 cattle have been vaccinated.
