Lahore: Secretary Health Punjab Jawad Rafique Malik has assigned duties to the officers of Health Department for monitoring the medical relief camps in flood affected districts.
According to the orders issued by the Secretary Health, Deputy Secretary Sarfraz Ahmed has been assigned district Sargodha and Jhang, Director MNCH Programme Dr. Zafar Ikram has been assigned district Chiniot, Deputy Secretary Establishment will monitor Gujrat and Sialkot, Dr. Ameer ud Din Chauhan of LHW Programme will monitor District Narowal, Deputy Drug Controller Muhammad Shahbaz will look after Gujranwala, Dr. Mubasher Atique Director Blood Transfusion Service has been assigned district Hafizabad, Dr.Javed Director Planning will monitor district Jhelum, whereas Secretary Blood Transfusion Authority Dr. Jaffar Saleem will monitor Mandi Bahauddin.
Secretary Health directed the officers to inspect the facilities provided by the District Health Authorities in the medical relief camps. The officers will also point out any gape, flaws or deficiency in the system. The officers will also pay surprise visits to the medical camps and evaluate / verify the data being sent by the concerned EDO Health to the Health Department. The officers have been directed to assess the arrangements made by the District Health Authorities to control post flood epidemic and send a report to the department in this regard. These officers will start their work immediately and will submit a report within three days of their visit to the Secretary Health.
