Lahore: Provincial Minister for Food Bilal Yasin has said that government will continue its efforts till complete rehabilitation of affectees. He directed that the administration should extent full cooperation to the flood affectees. He warned that no negligence will be tolerated in this regard. He said that all out resources will be utilized for coping with the biggest flood of the history of the province.
He expressed these views while talking to the affectees during his visit to flood affected areas of Sargodha, Khushab, Chiniot and Jhang on the special direction of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. Bilal Yasin also visited flood relief camps set up by Punjab government and reviewed the facilities being provided to the affectees. He also checked the quality of meal and directed the administration that best meal should be provided to the affectees in camps and no compromise should be made on its quality. He said that government is fully aware of problems of the affectees.
Provincial Minister said that Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif is visiting flood-hit areas round the clock. He said that government has evolved a strategy for early rehabilitation of affectees. He said that on the special direction of Chief Minister, all ministers are visiting flood-hit areas to review the arrangements made for the affectees.
During the visit to relief camp at Khushab, Bilal Yasin told that Punjab government is setting up mechanical tandoors for providing fresh Roti to the affectees. He also visited relief camps at Bokharian and Babu Rai in Chiniot and reviewed the arrangements made for affectees. The Provincial Minister visited the flood affected village in Bhawana and said that financial assistance will be provided to the affectees after assessing the losses caused to the infrastructure and property. He said that Punjab Chief Minister has constituted a special committee for this purpose and in the light of its proposals, Rs. 20 thousand will be given to each affected family as financial assistance by Punjab government before Eid. Later, Bilal Yasin arrived at Jhang and visited the relief camps and affected areas. He assured full cooperation to the affectees on behalf of the government.
