Lahore: With the financial assistance of philanthropists and donors, a cold storage has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 15 lacs at Lahore General Hospital in order to preserve medicine and injections.
Principal PGMI\LGH Prof Anjum Habib Vohra told in this regard that before the construction of the cold storage, refrigerator was the only place to keep costly medicines and injections but now a capacious and proper storage for such medicine is available for keeping it according to the required temperature.
The inaugural ceremony of the cold storage was attended by MS Dr. Pervez Imtiaz, Dr. Emergency ward Dr. Munawar Ali, office bearers of Patients Welfare Society, LGH Haji Muhammad Yousaf, Muhammad Aslam Malik, Aleem Malik, Yasir Ejaz, Javed Iqbal and administrative doctors. Porf. Anjum Habib Vohra appreciated the spirit of philanthropists for serving the ailing humanity and expressed the hope that they would continue work for this noble cause in future too.
