New Delhi would have to pay for the large scale destruction:Siraj ul Haq

Lahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Sirajul Haq, has said that India’s sudden release of the flood water towards this country was tantamount to water terrorism and a slap on the face of those who were keen to give that country most favorite status. Addressing the flood affected people in Jhang district during a visit on Wednesday, he said that New Delhi would have to pay for the large scale destruction caused by the release of flood waters.

The JI chief said that the recurring floods were the sign of divine wrath and the need of the hour was that the entire nation sought forgiveness from Allah Almighty for its sins. A Muslim country that allows free sale of liquor and has an interest based economy would only invite divine wrath, he remarked. He said that none of the rulers during the 68 years had enforced the Shariah even for a single hour. He said that the previous and the present rulers had not made solid plans for flood control and the masses had to suffer for that.

Sirajul Haq said that the JI and the Al-Khidmat Foundation were carrying out relief work in all flood hit areas and the Al-Khidmat Foundation had so far provided relief material worth Rs. 400 million.
