Lahore police arrested 127 criminals of 46 gangs during August 2014

Lahore: Lahore police showed excellent results during the month of August 2014, by arresting 127 accused of 46 gangs here in, Lahore and 199 cases have also been traced against them while more than 1 Cror & 2.5 millions recovered from the gang’s members, 1503 POs & CAs also arrested in the same period.

According to details, DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf directed Police officers, to utilize their full energies to curb the crime in the city and to arrest the criminals involved in different unlawful activities. On his directions, all divisional SPs increased their efforts against criminals and showed excellent results during the month of August 2014 by arresting 127 criminals of 46 gangs who were involved in different heinous crimes, 692 POs, 811 CAs included A&B categories were also arrested.

During the August, 255 cases registered against 256 accused on having illicit weapon and police also recovered 05-rifles, 09-guns, 231-revolvers & pistol’s, 01 daggers and 1119 bullets from their possession.

During the action against drug dealers, 434 cases were registered and 439 culprits were arrested and 34kg363grm heroine, 90kg355grm Chars and 4483 bottles of liquor recovered from them. Moreover, 79 cases were registered against gamblers and 420 accused arrested and also recovered betting amount more than 3-lacs. In the same period during the special crackdown 273 cases were registered against 282 culprits on the violation of law.
