Lahore: Pakistan won acclamation during the meeting of the Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) Congress at Kuala Lumpur on Sunday where three of its scions were unanimously voted to hold responsible positions in the Asian body. FIH President Leandro Negre will be attending the Congress.
According to reports reached here the AHF Congress, comprising 60 member countries, unanimously voted Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) President Akhtar Rasool Chaudhry and Secretary General Rana Mujahid Ali as the member Executive Board and Vice-president of the AHF respectively.
Akhtar Rasool Chaudhry will also act as the Advisor of the AHF President Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah who was also elected unopposed. Rana Mujahid will be one of the five vice-presidents of the AHF. Another scion of Pakistan Tayyab Ikram has been appointed as the chief executive officer of the Asian body. This is a great occasion that AHF has acknowledged the services of the PHF for the development and promotion of hockey in Pakistan.
