Door of Awareness at Governor House

Lahore: Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar arranged Eid Millan of Door of Awareness at Governor House .Mrs,Ruba Humayun (Chairperson DOA) presided this Program.  The chief guest of the program was Mian Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman (Minister Excise & Taxation of Punjab). Guests of Honor included Justice (R) Dr. Nasira Javed Iqbal, Prof. Dr. Murtaza Jafri (Principal, National College of Arts), Prof. M.A. Rufruf (Chairman Alfalah Quran-o-Sunat Academy), Prof. Sajjad Haider (Chairperson, Indus Foundation), Mr. Rehmat ullah Javaid (Former Secretary General, SAARC Chamber of Commerce & Industry), Mussarat Abdul Qayyum (Vice President, Hijaz Hospital), Ms. Nasira Attique (President, Inner Wheel, Rotary Club International), Agha Saiddain (Former Chairman, Pakistan Tanners Association), and many others. A large number of volunteers, sponsors, donors, and general public participated in the program.

Mrs,Ruba Humayun  said that Door of Awareness is working for the education and vocational training (Stitching Courses, IT Courses, and Mobile& UPS Courses) of children and people from slums, and is operating 10 schools for children from slums, stitching centers and computer centers. This event was organized to celebrate the blessings of Eid-ul-Fitar, in the true spirit of brotherhood.

Mian Mujtabaa Shujaa-ur-Rehman and all other honorable guests’ appreciated Mrs. Ruba Humayun for effectiveness of the projects of Door of Awareness after she shared her vision and presented performance report of DOA. In the end, a Vote of Thanks was given by Justice (R) Dr. Nasira Javed Iqbal.
