Judicial Tribunal held Shahbaz Sharif responsible for Model Town tragedy: Ch Pervaiz Elahi

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi has said that blood of the innocents martyred in Model Town tragedy was paying dividend, departure of the rulers was near, Judicial Tribunal was hidden because it was against Punjab Govt, under it dismissal of Shahbaz Sharif was essential, in the light of judicial verdict case should immediately be registered against all accused including Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif who had reached blind alley because of their oppression and arrogance and determination, patience and courage of the marchers and now only window of tendering resignation was open for them.
He said this while addressing the participants of Inqilab March and talking to the media after meeting with Dr Tahir ul Qadri outside the Parliament House today. On this occasion, he was accompanied by Senator Kamil Ali Agha, Muhammad Basharat Raja and other PML leaders.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that Judicial Tribunal report has held Shahbaz Sharif and Punjab Govt responsible for Model Town tragedy, there was contradiction in the press conference and affidavit of Shahbaz Sharif and facts were hidden therein, in the meeting presided over by Rana Sanaullah Personal Secretary to the Chief Minister Tauqeer Shah had represented Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif, both of them were held guilty by Shahbaz Sharif and suspended with his own orders. He said in the light of Judicial Tribunal report if Shahbaz Sharif was not dismissed and FIR not registered then else greater injustice there could be.

Ch Parvez Elahi further said that all were saying that nothing would happen whereas his stance was that blood of the martyrs had been included in this movement and now this govt was not going to be saved, there could be delay and not darkness before Almighty Allah, circumstances and developments were slowly moving in that direction, they would not be able to escape the oppression they had committed by martyring 14 persons and injuring another 100 persons.

He said just look at the character of these rulers who had separate law for themselves and the opposition, if the opposition protested then containers were put up and water, electricity and food were shut, when the rulers take out rallies then the law was their own, in the Lahore rally the desired strength could not be achieved despite bring in people through patwaris, LDA employees and marking presence of baildars and other functionaries.

Ch Parvez Elahi said we all were on the path of revolution, we have come out for securing justice for the poor in Pakistan, we want such change which ensures due share to the common and poor man in the society, the destination was not far away now, the participants of the Inqilab March had written new history, their sit-in (dharna) was continuing for 15 days but there was no lowering of their spirit and rather their enthusiasm was touching new heights with the passage of every day, he paid rich tributes to the participants on his own and other leaders behalf.

He maintained that we are allies of Dr Tahir ul Qadri on 10 points agenda, many changes would become visible even before expiry of the deadline, the govt was increasing pressure on electronic media in sheer desperation.
