Everyone except the government in good faith to resolve issues: Ch Pervaiz Elahi

Lahore: MQM Coordination Committee chief Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Dr Farooq Sattar, Babar Ghauri and Haider Abbas Rizvi  called on Pakistan Muslim League President and former Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi at their residence and discussed the current political situation.

Pakistan Muslim League Senator Kamil Ali Agha, Tariq Bashir Cheema, Senator Dilawar Abbas, Chaudhry Zaheer, Hafiz Ammar Yasir, Ahmed Yar Hiraj were also present on the occasion.

After the meeting Ch Pervaiz Elahi talked to the media along with MQM delegation and thanked the MQM Quaid Altaf HUssain for playing positive and constructive role in national politics when the country is facing a crisis.

He said everyone is striving to resolve the issue in good faith except the rulers who are not allowing the registering of Model Town incident ‘s FIR,14 people were killed and more than 100 were injured but neither any accused arrested nor police lodged the FIR. What kind of this  democracy? Democracy will not derail rather Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif will be derailed ,he added.

The MQM Coordination Committee chief Dr Khalid Maqbool said that the country is currently facing the most difficult situation, we appreciate Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi role for averting third force to step in. We have come for a consultation and has offered  is offered to sacrifice of our  25 seats , he maintained.

Dr Khalid Maqbool asked the government of Pakistan to avoid bloodshed and pass the legitimate demands of PAT to settle the issues.
