Lahore: Nominated Pakistani High Commissioner for Australia Naila Chohan called on Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal in his chamber ,here today.Supremacy of the parliament,empowerment of stat institutions,continuity of the democratic system and freedom of media discussed in the meeting despite issues of mutual interest.
On the occasion,Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal said government was moving ahead with the comprehensive programmes of health,education,provisions of basic facilities to masses.Pakistani nation had paid heavy cost for the restoration of the democracy,more seats were allocated in National and provincial assemblies for women,he added.
Naila Chohan vowed to contribute for making Pak-Australia ties more stronger and work for boosting trade.
