The marchers and the revolutionaries want to destroy democracy in Pakistan: Shahbaz Sharif

CM PUNJAB Shahbaz SharifhLahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that Pak army has launched a historic operation to root out terrorism from the country and is achieving tremendous successes. He said that successful operation of armed forces against terrorists at Samungali and Khalid Airbase Quetta is highly commendable and the brave officers and jawans of Pak Army thwarted the nefarious designs of the terrorists.

He was talking to various delegations of Muslim League-N here today. The Chief Minister said that those resorting to protest politics in the name of the masses have forgotten the problems and hardships of the distressed people of North Waziristan. He said that the displaced brethren and sisters of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa who are rendering sacrificing for securing the future of the country deserved a better treatment but they have been ignored by the rulers and politicians of KPK.

Shahbaz Sharif said that Punjab government is extending all out help and assistance to the displaced persons in their moment of trial and will continue to make every effort for their rehabilitation. He said that the protesting elements should know that even the last moment to change the sorrows of the nation into happiness is precious. He said that after the agreement, the announcement of Imran Khan to go to parliament is another of his U-turn and no patriotic Pakistani can make such an attack on Parliament House which is a national institution. Shahbaz Sharif said that those who have launched an attack on Islamabad want to destroy democracy in the country. He said that politics of confrontation and chaos will damage national economy and crores of people of Pakistan including government servants, labourers, cultivators, teachers and the future generation will suffer the loss. He said that those playing with national economy will never be forgiven by the history.

The Chief Minister further said that every moment of so-called protest is costing Pakistan millions of rupees and the elements staging a sit-in in Islamabad want to create political instability in the country and push the nation towards poverty and unemployment.
